Privacy policy

How we collect, use and look after the information you share with us when you enquire or use this website.

Last updated: 4 September 2026.

Who we are

This website is run by D H Wadsworth & Sons (“we”, “us”), a family-run quad, ATV and Mule dealer with branches at Flockton and Malton in Yorkshire. We are the data controller for the personal information described here.

You can reach us about anything on this page at our head office: 204 Barnsley Road, Flockton, Wakefield, WF4 4AB · 01924 840 319 · atvsales@wadsworthquads.co.uk.

What we collect, and why

We only collect what we need to answer you and run the site:

  • Enquiry details — when you send an enquiry, the name, email address, phone number and message you provide, plus the machine you were asking about if you started from a listing. We use these solely to respond to and follow up your enquiry.
  • Technical data — your IP address is recorded with an enquiry and in routine server logs, to keep the site secure and prevent abuse of the contact form.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, and, where you contact us about buying or servicing a machine, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Cookies

This site uses a single essential cookie (a session cookie) that keeps the contact form secure. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own.

The contact page embeds a Google Map. That map is served by Google and may set its own cookies when it loads. If you would rather not load it, you can still use the rest of the site and the phone numbers and addresses shown alongside it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information or share it for marketing. We share it only where necessary to run the service — for example our website host, which stores the site and its data on our behalf, and Google for the embedded map. Enquiry emails may also reach us through our email provider. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries only as long as needed to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records, then delete them. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and then discarded.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, or to ask us to delete it, and to object to how we use it. To do any of these, contact us using the details above.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a new “last updated” date.
